35 mm microfilm

Laser recording of 35 mm microfilm

The 35 mm film is suitable for long term (deep) archiving of image and text documents up to DIN A2 formats.

Options

  • Rolls of 30 to 300 m in length
  • Colour microfilm (Cibachrome) or b&w microfilm (Agfa)
  • File signatures and metadata can be recorded
  • Various grids (e.g. 1, 2 or 4 objects per frame)

Storage capacity
The maximum resolution of the Eternity Laser writer is roughly 9'000 x 13'000 pixels per frame. This allows archiving of image files with up to 350 Megabyte per frame on 35 mm microfilm. As a DIN A2 page with 400 dpi and a minimum oversampling of 150% requires 10’000 x 14’000 pixels, we recommend using the microfiche format for documents of size DIN A2 or larger.
